PROFILI AKADEMIK
Stefano Romano (Napoli, 1975) është artist dhe kurator. Ka kryer një PhD në Arkitekturë në programin IDAUP – double degree në Universitetin e Ferrarës (Itali) dhe Universiteti Polis (Shqipëri). Aktualisht është i punësuar në Universitetin Polis (Tiranë, Shqipëri) ku po jep mësim në Fakultetin e Artit dhe Dizajnit. Praktika e tij artistike eksploron kontradiktat e thella të realitetit përmes arkitekturës, konteksteve urbane dhe sociale. Qasja e tij bazohet në idenë e veprës si një proces hapësinor-kohor që shpesh herë ka nevojë për pjesëmarrjen aktive të shikuesit për t’u plotësuar. Metodologjia e punes së tij zhvillohet nëpërmjet aksioneve të përkohshme, performancave, instalacioneve, video, fotografi dhe vizatime.
Romano ka botuar në disa revista kombëtare dhe ndërkombëtare si archiDOCT| open access journal for the dissemination of doctoral research in architecture, FORUM A+P – Interdisciplinary Journal of Architecture and Scientific Environment, seria OMB. Puna e tij artistike është ekspozuar ndërkombëtarisht dhe aktualisht është gjithashtu drejtori artistik i galerive të qëndrës së artit bashkëkohor HARABEL në Tiranë.
