Following the implementation of Erasmus+ project, Key Action 2, no. EPP-561 510-1-2015-1-AT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, POLIS University attended as partner of the project in the training seminars held on 13-15 February, 2017 at the premises of the European University of Tirana.
POLIS University, attended the seminars during the three days, represented as follows:
On the first day of training, two academic staff members attended. Discussions were focused on the development and evaluation of questionnaires research in the framework of the project, the development of curricula, the compilation and monitoring of programs etc.
On the second day, POLIS was represented by members of the administrative staff. During this day, the agenda consisted on different discussions on the project, such as the role of administrative staff in quality assurance and on the second part of the day, representatives of partner universities shared their experiences about the process of quality assurance and accreditation of their respective institutions.
The third day had to do with the students, with their involvement in the institutional procedures of quality assurance, the importance of student councils and their representation in the various decision-making organs, the learning process and teaching having the student as a focus, as well as many other topics dealing with the involvement of students in the improvement and quality assurance in the university.
The discussions ended with a summary of the topics that were discussed, including the relevant recommendations.
The training seminar of February 15th, 2017 closed with meetings of the Management Board and the Project Quality Board.
February 16th, 2017 finalized this training for this stage, with the visit of the project coordinator, Prof. Peter Eckl, at the premises of POLIS University. Firstly the visit consisted of a meeting with the Administrator, Sotir Dhamo, who provided a summary of the purpose of the establishment, organization and management of the university. After that, Prof. Eckl visited the premises of the Internal Quality Assurance Office, in order to see how this office is structured and works.
