ACADEMIC PROFILE

Xhoi Musliaka has finished her studies in Tirana as a designer. With an applied experience in Albanian market in design and marketing, she is back as a Polis Alumni to teach. Her work as a designer has started at “Icon magazine” in 2016 to continue in one of the biggest companies in Tirana, “Landmark Communication” to be part of some of very important design campaigns in the city. Another short but important experience for Xhoi is her work at the cabinet of the Minister of Culture in Albania being responsible for corporative event organization, image curation and preparation of different design materials. Xhoi also gives her contribution at her family business restaurant Marchesi as an event manager.

SELECTED ACTIVITIES / PUBLICATIONS

Xhoi has published a study about Illyric jewels under the name “NUR – Illyric Jewel history” in collaboration with The Ministry of Culture and National Historical Museum.

Another important project that Xhoi has been part is “Accessible tourism for all”, in collaboration with Urban Research Institute dhe Interrat – IPA CBC (EU). A project that had the main purpose to make the city of Berat a tourist guide accessible for all.

It’s worth to mention her work as a designer in the project ““Akademia 100+ Fshatrat”, loti 21 of Prespa and Korca part. A project that is still in development by the government and has brought civilization in the rural part of Albania.

“Bed & Bunker” was a project by Polis University in collaboration with Mainz University in Germany which aimed to redesign an old bunker into a place for tourist to pass the night where Xhoi was part of the team.

She has been part of the restoration group in 2012 of the church “The dormitory of Saint Mary” in Voskopoja and has also attended different workshops and conference national and international.
