POLIS University organizes the first regional Bauhaus4EU workshop on urban and regional challenges
On March 11, 2026, POLIS University organized a regional workshop within the framework of the Bauhaus4EU Alliance, bringing together representatives from academia, public institutions, civil society, and the private sector to discuss key urban and regional challenges related to Albania and the wider region.
The event was opened and moderated by Vice Rector Elona Karafili, who welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of collaborative dialogue between universities and territorial stakeholders. The workshop aimed to collect and map regional challenges, foster cross-sector dialogue, and translate these ideas into future-oriented initiatives such as challenge-based courses, living labs, and collaborative projects with the European Union.
Various stakeholders, including representatives from the EU Delegation to Albania, the Municipality of Tirana, private sector companies, and civil society organizations, contributed their perspectives on key development challenges and opportunities for cooperation with academia. Through roundtable discussions and thematic workshops, participants jointly identified priority areas related to sustainability, accessibility, innovation, and inclusive territorial development.
The workshop concluded with a plenary session where the outcomes of the discussions were consolidated and several strategic directions were defined for future collaboration between POLIS University and regional stakeholders within the framework of Bauhaus4EU.
