The best way to predict the future is to create it.

Welcome of the Dean of the Faculty of Planning, Environment and Urban Management (FPMMU)

The Faculty of “Planning, Environment and Urban Management” (FPMMU) is an interdisciplinary faculty that develops professionals ready for the local and global market, merging knowledge originating from territorial governance, environmental studies, management studies, to the business school “POLIS Business School” (PBS). Territory, environment and entrepreneurship (trade) constitute a millennial ecosystem, which is explored and applied at FPMMU with the most progressive pedagogical and scientific methods.

The main units of the FPMMU Faculty are:

Department of Urban Planning and Management
Department of Environment
Sustainability Research Unit (in interdependence with IF Innovation Factory)
The Faculty has 3 basic units, 3 profiled schools, 5 academic programs (Bachelor, Professional, Scientific and Integrated Master), and 2 postgraduate courses such as Real Estate Valuation and Agricultural Land Valuation Course. The Faculty has several laboratories, an “ad-hoc” consultancy unit, a research center; as well as profiling opportunities through LLL (Long Life Learning) type training-certifications valid for licensing, and PhD studies.

FPMMU, as part of POLIS University, is currently a member of the European Schools of Planning (AESOP / ENHR / ISOCARP), Environment and Landscape (ECLAS), and Entrepreneurship and Management (CEEMAN). The study programs of this faculty have shown high stability over time, passing important stages of accreditation and international membership, as well as anticipating the dynamics of the labor market.

FPMMU prides itself on its strong links with practice, matching the development of skills with the needs of the market. Our teaching is characterized by a close engagement with students, as well as continuous innovation of programs and pedagogical methods. Our students develop a global mindset by participating in multiple cultures through exchange programs, engaging in teamwork and being in contact with local and foreign staff. This faculty has a very strong social mission by providing services and consultancy to communities and local authorities in need. It has an excellent interaction and symbiosis with the Co-PLAN Institute, which is also the origin of POLIS University.

Our professors come from prestigious institutions such as IHS / Erasmus University Rotterdam, La Sapienza University, Columbia University, Harvard Business School, University of Montpellier, IEDC-Bled School of Management, Kyushu Sangyo University, University of Tirana, POLIS University, University of Ferrara, etc. They also have extensive experience with public and non-public institutions, and in local and global companies.

Welcome to FPMMU!
