Prof. Dr. Tamara Luarasi
My experience in Computer Science dates back to 1984, when the Institute of Informatics and Applied Mathematics (INIMA) was established, where I worked for 13 years as an analyst-programmer. Previously, I worked as a lecturer at the Higher Agricultural University (1976-1984) where I taught several Mathematics courses. I completed my studies in Mathematics, Bachelor and Master in 1976 and in 1986 I defended my PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. I have the academic title of ‘Professor’ since 2016. I have worked in industry and taught at several Universities in Albania and the USA. I currently teach at the Department of Computer Science at Polis University in Tirana. After 2000, I taught at Boston, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Benjamin Franklin Institute, Northeastern University, Cambridge College (from 2002 to 2010), at the European University of Tirana from 2010 to 2014, and at SacredHeart University, Gateway College, and the University of New Haven in Connecticut from 2014-2019.
