ACADEMIC PROFILE

Dritan SHUTINA PhD is an academic with experience in the subject of Strategic Planning and Project Cycle Management. He is one of the founders of Polis University. He graduated in Civil Engineering and continued his postgraduate studies in Public Policy, Land and Building Evaluation, Urban and City Development, both in European and American institutions. He also completed doctoral studies in the field of architecture and urban planning. Institutional and governance expert, with over 20 years of experience in governance issues, strategic planning, participatory processes and regional development. Extensive experience as a Regional Development and Governance Expert in projects such as the Regional Development Program and Integrated Support for Decentralization. It has collaborated with many programs/projects funded by donors (both in Albania and in the region) including the EU, the World Bank, the Austrian Development Agency, the Swiss Development Cooperation, USAID, the Dutch Government, etc. He has been the Executive Director of Co-PLAN, the Institute for Habitat Development, since 2005, which he co-funded in 1995.
