The Environmental Laboratory has built the Quality Management System (QMS) based on international standards, benefiting from its Accreditation dated 01.03.2022, from the General Directorate of Accreditation. The Environmental Laboratory offers the performance of physico-chemical analyzes for a wide number of parameters, guaranteeing high quality according to the ISO 17025:2017 Standard, for these categories of water:
• Drinking water
• Urban discharges
• Industrial discharges
• Swimming pools
• Surface waters
• Ground water
• Agricultural waters
The Environmental Laboratory has started its activity since 2015 with the support of the European Union through the “CONSUS” and “TEMPUS” projects, equipping the laboratory with modern equipment for water and air parameters. They have served both in teaching practices and educating the new generation with the tools, techniques and strategies to create more capable professional leadership, more equitable cities, more sustainable in time and more connected to the environment. The environmental laboratory, as an independent unit but also a laboratory within the university, aims for students to become familiar with practical aspects of using measuring and monitoring instruments, with maps of different sizes and with samples of natural resources such as types of soil, rocks, trees etc.
