On 5–6 March 2026, POLIS University hosted the INTEC International Conference on “Sustainable Mobility”, organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education Project INTEC – International Engineering Competence Centres to Push Sustainable Mobility Development in Albania and Montenegro (Project Reference: 101081873-ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2).

The conference brought together academics, researchers, policymakers, industry experts, and Ph.D. students from Albania and across Europe to share insights, present research findings, and discuss innovative and collaborative solutions for a sustainable future in engineering and mobility.

The event opened on 5 March at 08:30 in the Main Hall of POLIS University, welcoming participants and setting the stage for two days of presentations, discussions, and knowledge exchange.

Day 1 – 5 March 2026
The first day of the conference opened with welcoming remarks and an introduction to the INTEC project and its objectives in promoting sustainable mobility through international academic collaboration. The program continued with keynote presentations and thematic sessions where researchers and Ph.D. students presented their work on topics related to sustainable transport systems, engineering innovation, and mobility challenges. The day also provided opportunities for discussion and networking among participants, fostering exchange of ideas between academia and industry.

Day 2 – 6 March 2026
The second day continued with additional research presentations and thematic sessions focused on emerging technologies, infrastructure development, and policy perspectives for sustainable mobility. Participants engaged in further discussions on innovative solutions and collaborative research opportunities, highlighting the role of universities and engineering competence centres in addressing mobility challenges in Albania, Montenegro, and beyond. The conference concluded with closing remarks summarizing the key insights and outcomes of the two-day event.
