On March 6, the First Mapathon was held at Polis University, an event organized by TomTom in collaboration with FLOSSK Kosovo and Polis University.

The activity brought together representatives of partner organizations, contributors from the Albanian mapping community, and students from the Urban Planning program, creating a collaborative space for exchanging knowledge on the importance of geospatial data and collaborative mapping.

The program included presentations from participating organizations and communities, as well as a practical mapathon session during which participants contributed to improving and enriching mapping data for the territory of Albania.

This activity also represents an important contribution to strengthening the academic programs of Polis University in the fields of territorial planning, environmental management, and GIS applications, while promoting the use of open technologies and data in study and research processes.
