ACADEMIC PROFILE
Prof. Assoc. Mario Ferrari graduated in Rome in 1992, and completed his PhD in architectural and urban composition at the University of Florence in 1996.
From 1998 to 2000 he taught Architectural Design at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence. From 2000 to 2010 he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture in Reggio Calabria. Since 2010 he has been teaching at the Ludovico Quaroni Faculty of Architecture in Rome. He has professional and academic work experiences in Italy and the United Kingdom.
In 2005 he published the book “Urban Project in Italy 1945-1990”, in 2008 he published the book “Adalberto Libera, Casa Malaparte in Capri 1937-1942”, in 2010 the text “Luigi Moretti, Casa delle Armi nel Foro Mussolini. 1933-1937, in 2013 “Ludwig Mies ven der Rohe, Neue National galerie in Berlin. 1962-1968” and in 2016 he translated Kengo Kuma’s book “L’anti-Object” into Italian. Since 2008, he is the editor-in-chief of the “Architectural Readings” series of Ilios.
Since 1992 he has joined the studio: #Ferrariarchitetti and together with his father Carlo he continues the family tradition in design and implementation.
From 2024, he joins the staff at U_Polis with his contribution to FAD – Faculty of Architecture and Design.
