ACADEMIC PROFILE

Leonora Haxhiu is an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Planning, Environment and Urban Management, in the Department of Planning and Urban Management of POLIS University, where she has been part of since 2021. She completed her Bachelor and Master studies in Geoinformatics Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, and aldo completed her second Master’s studies in Computer Science at POLIS University.

Leonora has experience in the field of GIS systems and intends to deepen in scientific and doctoral research, with a focus on the relationship between GIS and territorial planning. Her areas of interest include Big Spatial Data Analytics, smart cities and intelligent infrastructure, spatial technologies and their applications in urban planning, and CyberGIS.
