POLIS University in the European Project BAUHAUS4EU

POLIS University participated in the official launch of the BAUHAUS4EU project, an initiative involving the collaboration of 10 European universities from nine different countries to create a “European University” within the framework of the Erasmus+ call by the European Commission. The ceremony was held on January 13 at the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland, and POLIS University was represented by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Besnik Aliaj. The inauguration ceremony was attended by rectors, vice-rectors, chancellors, and members of project teams from the Alliance’s member universities from Germany, Portugal, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Albania, Italy, and Sweden.

Over the next four years, the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance will work to establish a common European “campus,” offering innovative educational opportunities and increasingly greater mobility for students, academic staff, and administrative personnel from over 124,000 students and 10,000 staff involved. This project will develop an innovative European university that will contribute to the transition toward sustainability and strengthen European regions.

The main objectives of the BAUHAUS4EU collaboration are:

  • Creating a common European “campus” with innovative educational opportunities and greater mobility for all target groups, including members of the student community, academic staff, and administrative staff.
  • Developing an innovative European university that will contribute to the transition toward sustainability and strengthen the resilience of European regions.
  • Consolidating an institution of European citizens that promotes inclusion, social justice, and liberal democracy.
  • Establishing an internationally attractive alliance with a sustainable management structure and shared governance, ensuring long-term collaboration.

This collaboration also aims to consolidate an institution of European citizens that promotes inclusion, social justice, and liberal democracy. With financial support of €14.4 million from Erasmus+ 2024 for “European Universities,” the Alliance is enabled to create synergies that will aid in the internationalization of curricula, educational innovation, inclusion, and the strengthening of sustainability.
