  • Accommodation

Student accommodation at Polis University is relayed in 2 ways, where the university plays its own role to serve students.

  1. In the Student Residential Center “Fole” – based on the cooperation agreement between two private institutions.
  2. Privately (individually) – in this case the university shares information about interested students who want to share private shared accommodation in apartments of the real estate market in Tirana that they provide privately, making the connection between students who seek assistance for this purpose, and when they see reasonable.

In any case, the final decision is the individual choice of the student, and the corresponding costs are outside the study fee.

  • Health Insurance:

The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is not valid in Albania, as the country is not part of the EU or EEA.
All incoming students must have valid health insurance covering their entire stay in Albania. This can be:

  1. A private health insurance policy valid abroad, or
  2. The Erasmus+ insurance provided by your sending institution or national agency.

Please make sure your insurance covers medical care, accidents, and repatriation before your arrival.

  • Visa & Residence Permit:

EU citizens can enter and stay in Albania for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa.

If you plan to stay longer than 90 days (for example, for a full semester exchange or internship), you must apply for a Residence Permit at the local immigration office (Directorate of Border and Migration Affairs) within 30 days after entering Albania.

Information about Visa for EU & non-EU citizens: Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
