In line with respective literature about Third Mission, the following definition of\u00a0Service Learning<\/strong>\u00a0@ Polis University<\/strong>\u00a0is being used: \u2026\u00a0Service Learning connects societal engagement (“service”) with the training of technical, methodological, and social competences (“learning”) of students.<\/em><\/p>

It is implemented in academic teaching of Polis University and bound to the acquisition of ECTS. In line with the university\u2019s Third Mission, questions from practical relevance are being addressed and scientific knowledge is directly being transferred into practice through cooperation with stakeholders from industry and society. Students gain key competences, allowing them to successfully transfer their acquired knowledge in the future. Processes of conscious reflection should lead to the development of new and sustainable problem-solving skills. Therefore, taking new perspectives, assume responsibilities, as well as highly structured decision-making processes in (interdisciplinary) teams are essential.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
