These concepts will help students understand the behavior of economic agents: households, businesses, and public actors. At a level above the introductory one, the course covers the theoretical foundations of the two main components of microeconomic theory: (i) consumer theory and (ii) producer theory. The treatment of these topics is limited to the conditions of a perfectly competitive market. In the first part, consumer theory, the course begins with the consumer’s budget constraint. It then examines the other side of consumer behavior: how the consumer perceives their utility. This includes the development of utility theory, preference theory, and consumer choice theory. Consumer theory concludes with the construction of the individual and market supply curves, as a concrete expression of consumer behavior.

Business Analysis I (Principles of Management)
The main objective of this course is to engage students from an active research perspective, rather than as consumers of facts and formulas. The solid foundations that students will gain in this course will help them recognize connections to the real world of management. The course Business Analysis I (Principles of Management) is deeply rooted in a Druckerian philosophy, summarized in the words of the founder of modern management, Peter Drucker:
“A manager who understands the discipline of management can still be an effective manager — perhaps even a first-rate one — even with minimal knowledge of managerial tools and techniques. A person who knows only skills and techniques, without understanding the principles of management, is not a manager, but merely a technician.” (Drucker, 1974).

Mathematics
The course will consist of lectures and seminars. The lectures will address important topics in mathematical culture that are essential for the field of Business Administration, focusing on the most necessary themes and their organic interconnections. Several areas of mathematics are expected to be covered. The goal is to prepare students to understand, interpret, and apply in practice some fundamental elements of mathematics. During this course, guided by the instructor, students will acquire and reflect on the knowledge that forms the basic concepts of Algebra, Analysis, and Probability.

Quantitative Methods I (Statistics I)
The objective of the course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of quantitative methods and to equip them with research and professional skills for their use in the process of formulating research problems and objectives, as well as in applying statistical techniques for data collection, interpretation, and descriptive analysis of a specific sector, area, or phenomenon.

Academic Writing
Get to know the field of academic writing and literature, learn how to understand, interpret, and analyze an academic paper. Successful entrepreneurship involves a combination of skills or traits that are typically learned rather than inherited—leadership, intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, willingness to take responsibility and carefully measured risks, as well as the readiness to fail, learn from failure, and move forward. The course aims to inspire students through exposure to real-life cases and the entrepreneurs involved in them, encouraging the research and development of the skills necessary for success in entrepreneurship. The main objective of the course is to help students understand that every individual has a different style of interaction and work, and that awareness of one’s personal style is essential to developing the behaviors and abilities that inspire others to work toward a common goal.

Fundamentals of Finance
The course aims for students to acquire the essential theoretical and technical knowledge necessary to work in the future as specialists within the finance departments of private sector entities, second-level banks, public institutions, insurance companies, and others. Throughout the lectures, students will integrate the economic knowledge gained from first-year courses to develop a deeper understanding of financial models, with the goal of enhancing their ability to provide appropriate solutions to various financial problems faced by an economic unit. This course introduces students to the practices of doing business in today’s global environment. It begins with an overview of the phenomenon of globalization and the major changes that have characterized different countries around the world. Students will then explore the trends influencing global trade and investment environments, as well as the strategy and structure of international business. Finally, the course presents issues related to international business operations, such as production, marketing, logistics, and human resource management.

Organizational Behavior
The course aims to prepare students to identify the fundamental principles of organizational behavior and analyze how these principles influence behavior in the workplace. Students will also develop an understanding of their individual management style and how it relates to influencing and managing behavior within organizational systems. The course focuses on enhancing critical thinking and analytical skills through the use of management case studies, personal application papers, and small group exercises. It also aims to strengthen students’ research, writing, and presentation skills.

Business Analysis II (Operations Management)
Given that the creation of products and services represents the main reason for the existence of any organization—whether small or large, manufacturing or service-oriented, profit or non-profit—managers must understand the importance of operations. This is because effective operations management provides the opportunity to improve revenues while ensuring that products and services are produced more efficiently. This combination of higher revenues and lower costs should be understood as one of the most important factors in any organization by all managers.

Environmental Economics and Climate Change
The main objective is to understand and analyze the relationship between the environment and the economy. The environment is an essential component of the economic system, and without it, this system cannot function. Economists have begun to treat the environment as an asset and a resource. According to environmental economists, environmental degradation is the result of market system failure to assign value to the environment, even though it serves economic functions and provides economic benefits. It is argued that environmental assets tend to be overused or abused, leading to their degradation. Therefore, the environment should be studied and integrated into the economic system and taken seriously by decision-makers.

Semester V

Change Management 6 credits
Financial Analysis and Reporting 6 credits
Business Strategy 6 credits
Circular Economy 3 credits
Financial Economics 6 credits
Leadership 3 credits

Change Management
The course “Change Management” addresses the process of organizational change as an essential dimension of contemporary management. EDUCATION PROGRAM Semester I Introduction to Microeconomics 6 Credits Business Analysis I (Principles of Management) 6 Credits Mathematics 6 Credits Quantitative Methods I (Statistics I) 6 Credits Academic Writing 6 Credits Introduction to MicroeconomicsThe course aims to equip students with the basic concepts of economics. Business Analysis I (Principles of Management)The main objective of this course is to engage students from an active research perspective, rather than as consumers of facts and formulas. The solid foundations that students will gain in this course will help them recognize connections to the real world of management. The course Business Analysis I (Principles of Management) is deeply rooted in a Druckerian philosophy, summarized in the words of the founder of modern management, Peter Drucker:“A manager who understands the discipline of management can still be an effective manager — perhaps even a first-rate one — even with minimal knowledge of managerial tools and techniques. A person who knows only skills and techniques, without understanding the principles of management, is not a manager, but merely a technician.” (Drucker, 1974). MathematicsThe course will consist of lectures and seminars. Quantitative Methods I (Statistics I)The objective of the course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of quantitative methods and to equip them with research and professional skills for their use in the process of formulating research problems and objectives, as well as in applying statistical techniques for data collection, interpretation, and descriptive analysis of a specific sector, area, or phenomenon.
