Benefits of participating in the Project \"Third Mission\"<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Third Mission is intended to be a shared agenda of all organizational units and as many university members as possible. Thus, it becomes an element of Polis University public profile. Active participation may include a variety of different aims and priorities, depending on the focus of the organizational units or individuals, such as:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

  • extended networking with societal actors and third-party funders;<\/u><\/u><\/li>
  • extended cooperation with public and private enterprises;<\/u><\/u><\/li>
  • establishment of new and transdisciplinary research projects in direct response to economic and social needs;<\/u><\/u><\/li>
  • integration of socially-relevant topics in research and teaching (service learning);<\/u><\/u><\/li>
  • better preparing students for taking over responsible tasks in politics, society and economy;<\/u><\/u><\/li>
  • extending the professional skill profile of the workforce;<\/u><\/u><\/li>

    Third Mission activities at Polis University:<\/strong><\/p>

    1. are based\u00a0on one\u2019s own\u00a0research<\/strong>,<\/li>
    2. are relevant to\u00a0society<\/strong>\u00a0and\/or the\u00a0economy<\/strong>, in the targeted\u00a0territory<\/strong><\/li>
    3. promote\u00a0networking\u00a0<\/strong>(primarily with societal and\/or economic actors; but also between activities; and also internationally),<\/li>
    4. and should be\u00a0future-oriented<\/strong>\u00a0and geared towards (or at least consider)\u00a0sustainability<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>
