The school includes several workshops, a great number of which are open to the public and to people outside POLIS, from Albania and abroad. In the past, POLIS Summer School has had international collaborations with Architecture Schools in the following Universities: Bauhaus/Anhalt, Damstadt, Karlsruhe, Mainz, Cottbus (Germany); TU-Vienna (Austria), Trieste University (Italy); NTUA (Greece); Lawrence Tech Detroit (USA).
The first Energy Community Summer School - 3 to 10 September, POLIS University
In 3rd to 10th of September, 2016, the first Energy Community Summer School will take place, which will be hosted by POLIS University. This school is organized in close collaboration with the Open Regional Fund for Southeast Europe - Energy Efficiency (ORF-EE), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BZHE) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
The Energy Community Summer School is a multidisciplinary training program with a particular focus on energy sectors in transition and it will be lead by top professionals and academics.
In this program, there will be 40 participants from 35 European countries, mainly postgraduate students, researchers from all disciplines related to energy, young professionals from government institutions, companies, think-tanks and government organizations, etc.
This program aims to enable them to understand the full complexity of energy sectors, but also give them a platform for an exchange and contribution towards discussions about energy.
